Protective Stabilization Training – Required by June 11, 2015

Dentists who use protective stabilization as defined in Rule 108.14(c)(2) must complete the required training by June 11, 2015. Training may be completed in one of two ways:
 
1. An accredited post-doctoral program or pediatric dentistry residency program that provides clinical and didactic education in advanced behavior management techniques; or
 
2. An extensive and focused continuing education course of no less than 8 hours in advanced behavior management that includes both didactic and clinical education pertaining to protective stabilization.


Ebola Information Resources

Texas Department of State Health Services encourages health care providers to ask patients about recent travel and consider Ebola in patients with fever and a history of travel to Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia, and some parts of Nigeria within 21 days of the onset of symptoms.  The links below contain important information about Ebola.

Dentist Verification of License

Dentists who need to verify their licensing record should CLICK HERE .  A search can be completed by entering any of the following information:  Dentist's First Name, Last Name, or License Number (if known). 

Requests to Update to a Licensee's Record
Only the licensee may submit an update to their record maintained by the Board.  Requests received from anyone other than the licensee will not be honored.  As a reminder, all licensees are required to notify the Board within 60 days of a change in address.  Requests for a change to a licensee's record will be accepted via e-mail  This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it , Fax (512) 463-7452, or by ground mail to: SBDE, 333 Guadalupe, Tower 3, Suite 800, Austin, TX 78701-3942.

Dentists interested in updating their licensing record online to reflect their specialty practice type should CLICK HERE for further instructions on submitting the required documents to the Board.  Please allow two weeks for processing.
